Buyer’s Agent:  ‘Where on Earth is the Lockbox?!? Oh, THERE It Is!”

The vast majority of the time, the easiest and best place to locate a lockbox — holding the key(s) the Buyer’s agent needs to access the home — is the front door.

lockbox far awayHowever, sometimes that’s not possible because there’s nothing to securely attach it to (open loop door handle); there’s not enough space between the front and storm doors; or, the homeowner is simply concerned that the lockbox will scratch their door.

In that case, the listing agent needs to pick another spot that’s easily accessed and conspicuous (for the benefit of busy agents who may or may not have closely read the showing instructions 🙂 ), but not TOO conspicuous (for everyone else).

Give the listing agent credit for a creative solution in the case of this Minnetonka home.
