Listing Agent (THIS one!) as Guinea Pig

As a listing agent (representing Sellers), before I ask agents and their clients to take off their shoes, I always make a point of taking off mine and walking through the home.

shoesSo, on a new listing a couple weeks ago, my socks snagged on a protruding “finish” nail on a basement stair.

Solution:  one quick smack with a hammer.

Other “discoveries” over the years:  a cedar closet that badly needed sweeping; a very lumpy carpet pad underneath a gorgeous Oriental rug in the Living Room (I recommended that my client replace it — the carpet pad, not the rug!); and an oddly-located carpet tack strip with a protruding nail (ouch!).
