“9-1-1 for Realtors?” Their Office Manager

The Office Manager** at a busy real estate office (Edina Realty-City Lakes definitely qualifies) might be one of the most accessible people in the world.

They’re available, 24/7 if necessary, by cell phone, text message, instant message, direct dial (their desk extension number), thru the main Office number (during business hours), and even — in a true emergency — occasionally on their home phone line.

Take a Number? Sort of

At the same time, there can be an awful lot of agents vying for the Manager’s attention, especially when they’re in the office.

All of which is why I especially like the strategy employed by a veteran City Lakes agent: instead of hovering outside the Manager’s office when they’re on the phone or meeting with someone else, they simply slide their business card under their door.

Why didn’t I think of that??

**Formally known as the “Managing Broker.”
