box canyon

Geologic . . . and Housing

“Box Can′-Yon”:  a small ravine or canyon with steep walls on three sides, allowing access and egress only through the mouth of the canyon.

–Definition, Wikipedia

As a (former) avid hiker, a box canyon to me was always the kind described above.

However, as a current selling client — very much in packing mode ahead of her home going on the market next week — recently pointed out to me, there’s a second kind as well.

Call it the “packing box canyon.”  🙂

Hang in there, Jane!!
