New (Yes) and Improved (Maybe)

Thanks to a corporate acquisition, Twin Cities agents are having to learn new software to set up showings for clients this week.

new improvedI’m sure I speak for at least a few (cranky) veterans who didn’t think there was anything wrong with the old system.

More Robust, Customizable (But . . .)

As far as I can tell, the main innovations are:  1) the system now automatically generates a map for showing properties, from first to last (the software chose the exact opposite order I preferred — I changed it); and 2) the default (also overrideable) window for showings is 15 minutes (far too tight, especially if the agent and client are viewing several properties in different parts of town — and have to navigate multiple highway construction projects to get there).

On the plus side:  a much more robust calendar displaying all the times individual properties are — and aren’t — available to be shown.

P.S.:  Word is that the new software is more challenging for brokers’ front desk staff than the agents.
