“That’s O-N-E . . . L-O-N-G . . . D-O-C-K”
When it comes to Minneapolis’ Lake Harriet, there’s no bigger fan than me.
There’s a terrific family beach at the southeast corner; the gorgeous Rose Garden is off to the northeast; and to the west is kid-friendly downtown Linden Hills — perfect for coffee and/or ice cream (Sebastian Joe’s, mmm . . .) afterwards.
And that’s not even counting the bandshell, sailboats, park, and concession stand at the north end — most people’s association with the Lake.
But Lake Harriet’s numerous docks — while long — do not in fact stretch to the horizon, as the marketing photo (above) suggests.
P.S.: guess what such camera angles do to the dimensions of couches, Kitchen countertops, etc.??
