“Caption Fatigue”

I’m sure I’m not the only Twin Cities Realtor suffering from what I’ll call “caption fatigue.”

An unintended consequence (my guess) of upping the maximum allowed photos on MLS from 10 to 18,  caption fatigue sets in when you realize that you actually have to write — and edit and size and proof — 18 descriptive captions to go with your flattering 18 home photos.

Unfortunately, writing captions for only 6 or 8 or 10 of the photos looks worse than writing none at all (“what, the Realtor ran out of things to say??“).

Plus, it looks odd aesthetically.

As a result, my (purely anecdotal) observation is that there are a lot more MLS listings these days with 18 photos — and no accompanying captions.
