Football . . . and Politics
Everyone — or at least football fans — know that Minneapolis plays host to Super Bowl 52 (“LII”) on February 4 next year.
So, what’s “Minnesota Super Bowl #2?”
November 6, 2018.
That’s when Minnesota elects two U.S. Senators and a governor, in a Midwestern state that Democrats must hold.
I’m not sure which is the rougher sport right now, football or politics . . .
P.S.: Minnesota is also fortunate to have two bona fide Super Bowl contenders: the Vikings this year, and Senator Amy Klobuchar in 2020.
I’m not predicting who, but I believe the first woman President will be elected in 2020.
That should help bring to a close — and a new beginning — today’s reckoning with sexual misconduct.
