Unlike Santa Claus, Realtors don’t bestow gifts each Christmas.

But, they do get asked for referrals, particularly for good lenders, home inspectors, and title insurance companies — plus other contractors needed to resolve inspection issues (for example, chimney repair).

In their capacity as Buyers’ agents showing new construction, Realtors are also frequently called upon to help vet individual builders and their reputations.

Which is why I keep two lists:  vendors my clients have worked with and liked . . . and the opposite.
