Lots of homeowners don’t like to take off their window screens in the Fall because it’s a hassle putting them back on each Spring.

screenMemo to would-be home sellers in January in Minnesota:  you won’t be putting them back on . . . the new owner will be.

Plus, removing them is the quickest way I know to lighten a room — important when sunset is (still) before 4:30 p.m.

Storage — Where (and How)

Where is the best place to store window screens?

I know lots of people pick an out-of the-way corner of their garage, but my garage (and lots of other people’s) doesn’t seem to have any of those corners.

All those screens can also pick up a lot of dust and dirt there.

Which is why I suggest under a home stairwell (or similar), neatly stacked and — ideally — labelled.
