“You Know What They Meant” Dept.

I’ve been involved in lots of estate sales, and have certainly seen plenty listed on MLS.

estateBut, I don’t recall ever seeing that rather unfortunate pairing — “estate” and “situation” — on MLS before.

What’s going on?

Two guesses:  1) it’s a new(er) agent; and 2) the home’s not very presentable, because the estate representative(s) couldn’t or wouldn’t do any home prep — and it shows.

You can further surmise that said agent feels (quite) defensive about the home’s market-readiness (or lack thereof).

Personally, I would have engaged a clean-up crew on my dime, and arranged to been reimbursed from the closing proceeds.

Failing that, I might have phrased things a little, well, more delicately.
