“They’ll Never Guess THAT One!”

safeWhich of the following do you suppose are a bad idea for a lockbox combination, to access a “For Sale” home?

A. The home’s street address.
B. “A-B-C-D.”
C. “1-2-3-4.”
D. The Realtor’s initials.
E.  The initials of the Realtor’s significant other.

Correct answer:   credit given for all of the above except “E.” — unless the Realtor’s signficant other is also a Realtor, or the Realtor has an obscure middle name.

And yes, I’ve actually encountered each of these lockbox combinations “in real life” (as they say).

P.S.:  of course, the best combination of all is no combination.

That is, to use an electronic (vs. mechanical) lockbox that can only be opened by a licensed Realtor’s smart key.
