At first blush, the photo (below) looks suspect.

The room looks impossibly large and the bed tiny, even trickthough the home’s age (1938) suggests medium if not smallish bedroom sizes.

Telltale Clue(s)

In fact, all the upper level bedrooms are small.

However . . . lo & behold, further down in the listing’s MLS stats there is one more, lower level bedroom.

Measurements?

very spacious 20′ x 13′.

Sure enough, you can spot the egress window (above the bed) and three lookout windows (upper left of photo), clearly indicating that the bedroom is below grade (and a legal vs. non-conforming bedroom).

Verdict:  the photo’s legit (unaltered).
