vs. “Bleeding Edge” Adopters

I don’t recommend being a procrastinator — it makes life more stressful — but I also think it’s a genetic predisposition, i.e., something you’re born with vs. something you choose.

So . . .  if you are, you are.

D-Day Plus One

That said, there are definitely some situations where it can be an advantage.

Like, being the second wave to buy the new iPhone 5, once they’ve fixed their little “Maps” snafu.

Or, being on the trailing edge of Realtors getting up to speed with Instinet, the new “forms” software of MLS.

Make that “dead last.”

Free Riding (also known as “Drafting”)

That’s because October 1 (today) is when the old software is unplugged, and all MLS users must switch over to Instinet.

The trailblazers (“precrastinators?”) who learned Instinet over the Summer had no one to help them.

On the contrary, once they became experts, they invariably became the ones everyone else in the office turned to for help.

Now, if you get stuck, all your colleagues can give you a quick tip, because they’re ahead of you on the learning curve.  🙂
