Cause of Death: Inept Leadership

During his long and storied career, Donald Trump has (so far) plastered his name on casinos, steaks, airplanes, golf courses, hotels, office buildings, a university, and sundry other items.

Now, at his direction, the United States Treasury will put his name on millions of government stimulus checks (though apparently only in the “memorandum” field, not as signatory).

In light of the United States’ world-leading death toll from Coronavirus — over 32,000** and climbing — I’ve got one more thing his name deserves to be on . . .

**If the U.S. had controlled COVID-19 as well as South Korea — which had its first confirmed case on exactly the same day, Jan. 20 — America’s death toll now would instead be about 1,500.

Of course, that’s in addition to a staggering U.S. economic cost: around $10 trillion just so far.
