Is That “Minnesota Agent?”  Or, “Agent Anywhere in the U.S.?”

You are listing a Twin Cities home being sold by an estate.

The trustee of the estate is a licensed broker in Missouri.

In response to the MLS question, “Is the Owner an Agent?,” do you check “Yes” or “No?”

I’m pretty sure there’s no case-law on this, but I do know the conservative answer:  “when in doubt, disclose.”

Which is why I checked “Yes” . . .

P.S.:  What’s the logic of requiring Sellers to disclose that they’re agents?

To let the public know that their counter-party is more sophisticated and knowledgeable (presumably).
