Just One Surprise
My choice of parking spot (above) indicates how confident I was that my client’s closing (in Minnetonka earlier this week) would go smoothly.
In fact, the actual closing took less than 15 minutes (vs. the usual hour or so).
That’s possible when it’s a cash deal, and the Seller (my client) had pre-signed beforehand.
P.S.: The only surprise turned out to be the contents of a very old, very dusty cardboard tube I’d retrieved from the rafters above my client’s garage (and had conscientiously safeguarded for the past six months).
What I’d assumed had been blueprints of the home in fact turned out to be commercial properties where the owner (a real estate attorney) had represented the developer, decades ago.
