One-Word Marketing Mantras

It’s not entirely true that I got nothing out of the continuing ed course I walked out of this Wednesday after about one hour.

I got the idea for this post.

“Sell More Now!”

When it turned out the 8-hour course was going to be one big pep talk, telling agents how to crank up their marketing engines and tweak their attitudes to SELL MORE RIGHT NOW!! . . . I decided it wasn’t for me.

The clincher:  when the speaker encouraged attendees to pick a one-word mantra for 2017 (“Courage,” “Discipline,” etc.), and tape it to their medicine cabinets for motivation.

My one-word mantra, at least for this class:  “Outtahere!”

P.S.:  Long-time Minnesotans (I qualify) will remember that the most famous fan of affirmations was Stuart Smalley, the fictional SNL character conceived and played by future Minnesota Senator Al Franken.
