“When in Rome Minnesota Close to Labor Day . . . ”
Sure, Iowa has the nation’s first primary.
But, neighboring Minnesota has 10 electoral votes vs. Iowa’s measly 6.
Plus, Minnesota’s state fair draws almost twice the people that Iowa’s does (1.8 million vs. 1 million).
So, maybe Hillary Clinton — already in town for a Democratic party function — will take a break from (ughh!) meetings and fundraising, and try some Minnesota state fair cheese curds.
Former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, also vying for the Democratic nomination, stopped by yesterday.
P.S.: Mick Jagger stunned a lot of locals by wandering (apparently solo) the Minneapolis Institute of Arts earlier this summer prior to a Twin Cities concert.
