Commencement Speeches 2014
Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres to come up with the ultimate rebuttal to Robert Frost.
If you don’t know Frost’s famous poem, here it is:
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Now, here is DeGeneres’ advice to this year’s graduates:
“Follow your passion, stay true to yourself, and never follow someone else’s path — unless you’re in the woods and lost and you see a path, then by all means you should follow that.”

Of course, there’s always Yogi Berra’s advice about which road to take (“when you get to the fork in the road . . . take it“).
Sorry, grads, we adults really aren’t any help at all (but you already knew that).
