“And the Owner’s Dog is Ugly, Too!”

In the land of “Minnesota Nice,” listing agents (representing Sellers) don’t encounter it often.

expletiveBut, at today’s office meeting, another Realtor made reference to a recent, “brutal” showing on one of their listings.

Invariably, here’s what they meant:

“The prospective Buyer trashed the home’s price, condition, curb appeal, staging — and anything else they could think of, regardless of whether or not it was relevant to the home sale.”

Non-Minnesota Nice

No doubt, there are certainly listings where all of those things (and more) are true.

However, at least in my experience, Buyers and/or Buyers’ agent who trash listings have, umm . . . other “issues” (as they say) that typically have nothing to do with the house in question.

Or, they have ulterior motives, however transparent (such as, they actually like the house, but want to knock down the price).

P.S.:  What’s the “Minnesota Nice” version of negative showing feedback?

“Thanks for the showing, the home wasn’t a good fit for my client.”

Period.
