Some Free Public Relations Advice

Dear Bigos:

I’ve seen your company’s (very impressive) plans for 2622 West Lake Street, and share your enthusiasm for building on one of the Twin Cities’ choicest and best-located undeveloped parcels.

Such an undertaking is long overdue, and — done thoughtfully and well — has the potential to genuinely enhance the neighborhood.

However . . . if you’re trying to convince the local neighborhood association (“CIDNA”), Minneapolis city officials, and others that your project will be properly-sized, environmentally friendly, and generally have a low impact on Lake Calhoun and the surrounding neighborhood, it would probably be helpful to not have a corporate name that prominently features the word “Big.”

Sincerely,

Ross Kaplan
Your friendly neighborhood Realtor

Sorry, but tell me you disagree . . .

  1. The name Bigos is the owners last name. You are not pronouncing it right. It’s pronounced beegos … this name is very well known through out the business community.

Your projecting your own thoughts on it.
