4200 Basswood Open 1-3 p.m Today!

Charles Dickens famously published his novels in London magazines in serial form (the pace of installments reportedly accelerated whenever he was broke).

In that spirit (minus the financial motivation), I’m offering the third installment of virtual staging at 4200 Basswood Road, just west of Cedar Lake in St. Louis Park’s Fern Hill neighborhood (click here and here for the first two installments).

The photo above shows the Master Bedroom as it would look nicely furnished; the photo below is how it currently appears.

6 BR/4 BA

In fact, this 6,000 square foot home has two Master Bedrooms on the first floor:  a second Bedroom with a private 3/4 Bath walks out to the Deck and backyard pool (the 4th and last virtual staging photo is of the Deck).

I’ll be at the house from 1-3 p.m. today.

Please stop by if you’re in the area!

P.S.:  Guess which city’s property taxes — Minneapolis or St. Louis Park’s — are lower?

When will realtors and “real estate photographers” and “stagers,” turn to trained photographers and interior decorators for assistance in marketing homes? The distortions in this photo are grander than the 6000 ft house they are intended to portray. The chair is miniscule compared to the bed. How many sales hae been botched due to bad photography? Hard to quantify,

    1. Actually, both the original photos and the virtual staging were done for me by high-end, professional shops — and I have the (sizeable!) invoices to prove it!

Hopefully, as this catches on, the quality goes up — and the cost goes down!
