One city doesn’t make a trend, but as of last month there’s one less municipality in the Twin Cities that requires homeowners to have a city-mandated inspection before they can sell — or in some cases, list — their home.
The dropout?
Brooklyn Park.
That leaves eight municipalities — including Minneapolis, Bloomington, St. Louis Park, and Golden Valley — that still require them.

But in a nutshell, seeing such point-of-sale city inspections go away leaves Buyers — who should always do a private home inspection — no worse off; and definitely is a plus for Sellers.
My opinion, anyways.
