Touting Proximity to Light Rail . . . 3 Years Early!

Owners loved living here and the neighborhood with nearby park, walk to Cedar Lake Beach, and 3 block walk to the 2023 West Lake Station of Green Line SWLRT.”

The Twin Cities’ new light rail line may be almost 3 years away from completion, but that’s not stopping prospective home sellers (and their Realtors!) from touting their proximity to it.

In fact, searching “light rail” on MLS generates a list of 146 such properties now — typically giving the name of the nearby station (“Bloomington Central Station,” “West Lake Station,” etc.), plus any other area amenities.

As the completion date nears, look for that number to grow . . .

P.S.: Twin Cities residents can attest to all the building activity along the green line corridor now.

That includes the Downtown Hopkins Station, which appears to be located practically in the Hopkins Honda parking lot (I dropped our family’s minivan there for service this morning).
