Exactly What Part is “Partial?”

I certainly know what a “partial basement” is.

At least in the Twin Cities, that often goes with a pre-1900 structure, and is commonly made of limestone.

On the other hand, I have no idea what a “partial bathroom” is (and certainly wouldn’t want to use one!).

That was the term a real estate web site ” not Edina Realty’s ” used instead of the correct term, a “three-quarter bath.”

If you didn’t already know, a “full bath” includes a shower, bathtub, sink, and toilet.

Quarter, Half and Three-Quarters Baths lack one or more of those things (excepting the toilet, of course).

P.S.: also on the list of things I wouldn’t want to use: a “partial ladder.”
