Super Bowl 52 volunteer at Twin Cities airport.

But, sometimes you can (sometimes, you can tell seconds after getting on the plane. Exhibit A: Las Vegas).

A. Dallas
B. Chicago
C. Philadelphia
D. San Francisco

Answer: “D.” (partial credit given for “Los Angeles”).

Cold Temps, Warm People

So, what does the Twin Cities’ airport, now swarming with Super Bowl 52 visitors, say about us?

Let me put it this way:  a good chunk of the people at the airport are local, purple-clad volunteers (photo, above right).

Somehow, I don’t see that happening in New York City (or at least, not with the same Midwestern cheer . . . ).
