“Check,” “Check,” “Check” . . . $%!&#!

Scarcely 24 hours after pre-list networking my upcoming Plymouth listing (on Edina Realty’s proprietary “Network One”), I got a “hit” from a Buyer’s agent.

Scanning the form summarizing the Buyer’s criteria, I quickly saw why:  their preferred area, price range, home size and style all closely matched my client’s home.

So far, so good.

Then, I saw what looked to be the deal breaker:  under “Date added” (to Network One), the Buyer’s agent filled in . .  last January.

I’d never say “never,” but a prospective Twin Cities home buyer who’s been looking, unsuccessfully, for +7 months, is (very) likely:  a) unmotivated; b) unrealistic; or c) both.**

Most likely explanation (by far):  “c.”

**At least for a $250k home, my client’s list price.  At higher price points, Buyers’ home searches can take commensurately longer.
