Realtor-as-Brain Surgeon

The best response I’ve seen to Ben Carson’s appointment as the head of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) is from a fellow Realtor:

“I am a real estate professional and have just been appointed to head up the neurosurgery department for my regional hospital group.  I have never been to medical school, and don’t know anything about brain surgery or running a large organization, but what can go wrong?”

–Doug Kuett, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services; Realtor Magazine (January/February 2017).

Just in case you’re not familiar with HUD, its proposed 2017 budget is close to $50 billion, and it employs almost 8,500 people (at least as of 2014 — I couldn’t find a more recent number).
