Realtor:  “Don’t Call Me, I’ll Call You”

“How about never?  Is never good for you?”

New Yorker cartoon, showing two people scheduling a get-together.

About 2-3 times a year, I handle a deal opposite an agent who seems to have a perpetually full voicemail box.

Which begs the question:  “is that on purpose, or are they just not very organized/attentive?”

Sending a Message (But Which One?)

If it’s intentional, I suppose the agent’s message is, “Don’t bother trying to solicit me for anything.  If you’re for real, send me a text.”

Or possibly, “I’m so swamped, I don’t want/need any more business.”

On the other hand, if the full mailbox is inadvertent, the implicit message is, “I’m so swamped, I can’t handle any more business.”

P.S.:  Trust me, if you’re an agent involved in a deal with me, I’ll figure out how to reach you . . .
