“Yeah, That’s It, Why Don’t You Get a Little CLOSER?!?”

When someone driving in front of you does something dumb or dangerous (texting while driving qualifies as both), alert motorists honk.

But, what do you do when the aggressive/dumb/inattentive driver is behind you?

You could slow down or even hit the brakes, but that seems risky, given the nature of the problem.

Which is why instead, my 13 year-old son suggested a rear horn.

Use #1?

Driving this Summer in Colorado, when a jerk driver was tailgating us on a 20 mph, 1.5 lane road (maybe) — with no guardrails, never mind shoulder, on the (harrowing) way up to 12,000′ high Independence Pass.

Plan B:  hauling a large appliance precariously perched on the rear bumper.
