If you’re not in real estate — or buying or selling a home this Spring — this Thursday (June 30) is probably just the day before the day before the 4th of July holiday weekend (Y-a-y-y-y!!).
However, if you are in real estate (agent, broker, or especially title company) . . . it’s the busiest day of the busiest month for sales in at least a decade.
Airports & Title Offices
Especially with such a crowded docket, closing earlier in the day is better (sort of like airports, where delays can cascade as the day wears on).
Which is why my Seller closes at 9 a.m. that morning. 🙂
P.S.: So, who else besides Buyers and Sellers have a vested interest in June 30 closings?
Sellers who are going to price off of homes that close June 30, when they officially go from “Pending” to “Closed” — and therefore qualify as a bona fide Comp (“Comparable Sold Property”).
