Nothing New Under the (Marketing) Sun;
Lesson #1:  Treat Your Clients Like People

How do you score a free book — in this case, “The Conversion Code” by Chris Smith** — at a Realtors’ seminar?

By being one of the first 300 Realtors to register this morning for the day-long MAAR Realtor Summit at the Minneapolis Convention Center (MAAR stands for the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors).

Strategy #2?

Arrive at 8:54 a.m. (starting time:  8:55 a.m), and have your neighbor give you their copy.

Thanks to Paul Bolstad of Twin Oaks Realty, who generously offered me his book.

A 40-year industry veteran, I’m sure Paul already knows everything in it — and a few things that aren’t.  🙂

P.S.:  Paul’s specialty is working with Buyers originally from Kenya, Tanzania, and elsewhere in Africa (Paul’s parents were missionaries, and he’s fluent in Swahili).

**Smith was one of the featured speakers.

    Ross,
    Thanks for the kind words; I enjoyed sharing our table at the Realtor Summit today. I had no idea I was sitting next to such a distinguished practitioner of our trade! Perhaps one day we will encounter each other in the real estate world…
    I can see you are way ahead of me in using the digital media in sharing your thoughts; thanks again for your comments.
    Best wishes,

    Paul B.
