The “Air Force One Theory” of Farmhouses

What makes a farmhouse a farmhouse?

A. A farmer lives in it (or used to).*
B. It’s located on a farm (or was).
C. A unique architectural style.**
D. All of the above.

Correct Answer:  “A.” and “B.”

Admittedly, you don’t run into many farmhouses in the more urban parts of the Twin Cities.

And it’s rarer still to encounter a $1+ million farmhouse in Edina near Interlachen golf course.

Yet that’s exactly where this morning’s Exceptional Properties meeting took place, at 5 Cooper Avenue in Edina’s Hilldale neighborhood.

The completely rebuilt house features 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, and over 4,600 finished square feet on a gorgeous .56 acre lot.

Edina Realty’s Susan and Gary Wahman are the listing agents; price is $1.125 million.

**According to Wikipedia, farmhouse features vary by country, as well as such variables as local building materials, climate, and construction era.
