angies list

Ratings Criteria:  “Quality,” “Punctuality,” “Responsiveness”

If I were rating Realtors, the attributes most important to me would be things like:

–Marketing skills
–Negotiating ability
–Legal knowledge and familiarity with real estate contracts
–Honesty/Integrity
–Market knowledge
–Personality and interpersonal skills

Now, compare the above list to the criteria for rating Realtors on Angie’s List:

–Price
–Quality
–Professionalism
–Punctuality
–Responsiveness

Electricians & Plumbers

Perhaps that’s why, out of about 8,000(!) or so Twin Cities agents, there are only four that have a dozen or more reviews on Angie’s List — and only 81 Twin Cities agents who are reviewed at all.

That compares with 459 roofers, 438 plumbers, and 352 electricians on Angie’s List — dozens of whom are reviewed more than 30-40 times (the threshold for getting a true sense of the contractor, at least in my opinion).

So, there you have it.

If you’re looking for a plumber, roofer, or electrician . . . check out Angie’s List (like I do).

If you’re looking for a Realtor, ask your friends and neighbors (or, check out the agent’s blog 🙂 ).
