Acronym

Internet Shorthand for MM (“Middle-Aged Men”)

What rule says only teenage girls (or boys) can coin Internet acronyms?

See, “LOL”* (“laugh out loud”); “IMHO (“in my humble opinion”), etc.

In fact, I’ve got two new, proposed acronyms:

One.  “WIAS”:  for “Where Is, As Is” — business and Realtor-speak for, “don’t even think about raising inspection issues”; and

Two.  “T/T.”  Short for “There, Then,” which in turn is short for “I’ll meet you There, Then.”

I envision “T/T” as an improvement over “OK”, which doesn’t specifically confirm both the agreed-upon location, as well as the agreed-upon time.

“T/T” also sounds better than “ta-ta.”   🙂

P.S.:  Having just watched “Captain Phillips,” I can report that the military version of “OK” is “Over” or “Copy That.”

*Apparently, “LOL” also now stands for “living on Lipitor.”
