Not as Bad as Ak-Sar-Ben Stadium
(“Nebraska” Spelled Backwards)

[Dear Readers:  Sorry, my body may be back in MN, but my head is still in Indiana.  So, bear with me on one more Indy-related post.]

If you needed to come up with a mascot for a baseball team in Indianapolis, Indiana, you might think you’d pick any name that didn’t have “Indian” in it.

And you’d be . . .  wrong.

So, the name of Indianapolis’ Triple-A team (an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates)?

“The Indianapolis Indians” (of course).

P.S.:  if you guessed that the views of Victory Field from the 34-story J.W. Mariott — towering just behind left field — were stupendous . . . you’d definitely be right!
