Still Needed:  a “Price Reduction Prayer”

Home Sellers (and their Realtors) may have their own private prayers and superstitions, but I’m only aware of one that is widely known:  the practice of (some) home Sellers to *bury a statue of St. Joseph in their background prior to putting their home on the market (and no, you don’t have to be Christian to do it; at least one of my Jewish clients did it, too).

Then, there’s my my version of “The Realtor’s Prayer“, to be uttered in conjunction with doing a listing presentation (ranked #3 on Google under “Realtor Prayer”).

Which leaves a lot of ground uncovered (sorry).

Like, shouldn’t there be a prayer (incantation?) the Office Administrator (“OA”) utters just before he/she hits “enter” on a price reduction?

Efficacy

Do such prayers and superstitions work?

Let’s just say that the odds seem to vary directly with how well-prepped, priced, and marketed the home is.

*Truly ambitious home sellers may also recite the St. Joseph Novena.
