No, I didn’t catch Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke when he was in town Thursday.

But I’m pretty sure I just passed Thomas L. Friedman walking around the south end of Lake Calhoun about an hour ago.

A St. Louis Park native, Friedman must have known that the terrific weather this weekend made it an opportune time to visit.

Unlike another celebrity visitor known to visit the lake each Fall, as best I could tell Friedman drew barely a glance.

P.S.:  Sighting  . . . confirmed!

Per Joel Tormoen, former St. Louis Park High faculty (and my ECHO advisor!):  ‘Part of the class of ’71 who are having their 40th reunion today.’
