The Not-Quite-Emptied Out House
When you think of housewarming gifts, what usually comes to mind are fruit baskets, wine or even champagne.
And then there would be the housewarming gift ” literally ” that a recent client of mine left for his Buyer.
Headed to an East coast condo with no wood burning fireplace (like the one in his Minnetonka home), he left behind his cache of “Duraflame” fire logs and firestarters.
P.S.: What Sellers can (and can’t) leave behind is usually up to the Buyer.
So, old, dried out paint cans ” no; the device that lets you change light bulbs in hard-to-reach recessed lights ” yes.
Of course, if something truly has market value, the Seller will likely either sell it or donate it before closing.
