April 2018 blizzard aftermath: “the Kaplan family snowmobile” (otherwise known as a Honda minivan).

If you wanted to sum up this past, blizzard-dominated weekend in the Twin Cities in one word, it would be “cancelled.”

As in, “cancelled flights,” “cancelled (home) showings,” “cancelled weekend open houses,” and “cancelled sporting events” (at least, the outdoor ones).

The descriptive expletive?

“%!#@&!”

P.S.: Oddly, the only place I visited yesterday that had itsĀ usual throng was the Henhouse restaurant (pictured above left) in downtown Minneapolis.

I attribute that equally to its delicious sweets and its liquor license.

Maybe full because people can walk there from their downtown condos? Downtown doesn’t have a slew of b-fast places, right?
