“Buy land — they’re not making any more.”

–Attributed to both Mark Twain and Will Rogers.

I don’t necessarily agree with the Twain/Rogers take on buying land:  all you have to do is fly from the Twin Cities to either coast, and you’ll see LOTS of open, developable real estate.

But, I very much agree with the sentiment when it comes to buying condos near — and specifically, on — the west side of Lake Calhoun in southwest Minneapolis.

2 Buildings, 3 Dozen Condos

Then, there are only two buildings to choose from:  3150 Calhoun Parkway West, and its smaller neighbor one block south, 3220 Calhoun Parkway West.

Number of units in each building:  25 and 11, respectively, for a total of 3 dozen.**

The latest to score one of these coveted condos?

My client, who closed on #101 in 3220 Calhoun last Monday (March 5).

Congrats to both the Buyer and Seller!

**With four transaction sides in the two buildings the last few years, I qualify as West Calhoun’s top condo seller.

Three Realtors are tied for second place, with two transaction sides apiece (note: each consummated sale has two transaction “sides”:  a buy side and a sell side).
