Parental Priorities:  (Temporary) Lull in New Listings, at Least for Families With School-Age Kids

For parents of school-age kids, the next week is, shall we say, “transitional.”

school outGone is the schedule that has held sway, more or less, since last Fall.

In its place . . . it all depends.

Summer Camp . . . Summer Vacation

Parents of kids leaving for camp for the Summer are stressed now, but can look forward to lots of down time later.

Parents of kids who hate camp instead have to cobble together a mishmash of programming — typically 1-2 weeks at a time — with uncertain times, destinations, and driving arrangements (at least from many Dads’ perspectives, including this one).

Guess which, umm . .  . camp the Kaplan household falls into?

Perhaps that’s why adding to the To Do list, “getting the house ready for showings,” is hardly music to would-be Sellers’ ears — and next week is guaranteed to have (lots) more new listings than the blissfully short, typically slow week after Memorial Day Weekend.
