I doubt that the continuing education deadline for CPA’s is April 15.

deadline 2So, why is it that the deadline for Minnesota Realtors to complete their annual continuing ed is June 30?

Especially for agents at bigger brokers (Edina Realty more than qualifies), that effectively pushes up the deadline to the end of May, so that the various offices’ can forward agents’ info to the Department of Commerce in a timely fashion.

The catch for agents?

April-May is the height of the Spring market, and a not-so-convenient time to find an extra 10 (or 30!) hours.

My proposal:  switch the deadline to December 31, or — even better — November 30.
