Edina Realty “Leadership Circle” . . . x 7!
It’s a given that lots of things you do in residential real estate go unnoticed, let alone appreciated.
Which is why it’s nice to be recognized by the company ” and Office Manager ” you work for/with.
In that vein . . . I just received my seventh Edina Realty “Leadership Circle” award for my sales production the last year.
The 2016 Circle awards were presented this morning by City Lakes Office Manager Jennifer Cutter, who delivered each honor with a spot-on recitation of each agent’s unique talents and virtues, a personal anecdote or two ” plus a hug.
I know I speak for the whole office when I say, “the feeling’s mutual, Jennifer!”
Still Learning After 13+ Years
Curious business, real estate.
If you take a 90 hour course, pass a not-that-difficult test, and write a check for $150, you too can be a licensed Realtor.
However, even after 13+ years in real estate, and with my previous background as an entrepreneur, corporate attorney, and CPA, I can still honestly say that I learn something new each deal I’m involved with.
Or, as economists might put it, the barriers to entry in real estate sales are deceptively low.
P.S.: The best Realtors never forget that it’s not about them, it’s about their clients.
I was showing a home the other day where, hanging below the “For Sale” sign, was a sign rider the size of Rhode Island extolling all the listing agent’s awards and credentials.
My client’s comment: “what an egomaniac; who’d want to work with them??”
