Buyer Needs, Wants — and “Don’t Want’s”

Either 2nd-story Living Rooms are now a trend, or, at least one local Buyer who doesn’t like them keeps running into homes that have them.

Which is apparently why they instructed their agent — broadcasting (“networking”) a Buyer need earlier today — to make clear that they were only interested in upcoming listings that didn’t have that feature (I received an email from the Buyer’s agent).

The two homes where I’ve seen 2nd floor Living Rooms recently were actually not new construction — at least not technically.

One was a Golden Valley house where the owner did a two-story addition:  a new Kitchen on the first floor, and a Living Room above.

The other home, in Minnetonka, had no basement, and the 2nd level Living Room served as a sort of Family Room/Amusement Room substitute.
