. . . 2013 Kitchen on the Inside!
Where: 1045 Thomas Ave. South in Minneapolis’ Bryn Mawr neighborhood.
What: 5 BR/4 Bath Tudor with 3,500 FSF.
How (much): $749,500
When: listed April 2 (two days ago).
Who: listed by Daren Jensen, Edina Realty.
Unlike, say, Linden Hills, Minneapolis’ Bryn Mawr neighborhood can throw people.
For starters, there are actually two Bryn Mawr’s: North Bryn Mawr, between 394 and Bassett Creek; and South Bryn Mawr, across 394 (neither of which is to be confused for the suburb Bryn Mawr outside Philadelphia).
Further complicating things: part of South Bryn Mawr is on the north side of Cedar Lake, part on the west side.
Got all that??
Minutes to Everything (& No Freeways)
While both Bryn Mawr neighborhoods are popular for their prime location and character-filled, older housing stock, South Bryn Mawr feels a bit more tucked away, and has higher average home prices (especially for homes overlooking Cedar Lake).
A classic example of a (very) nicely updated South Bryn Mawr home is 1045 Thomas Avenue South, pictured above and below (and the host property this morning for Edina Realty’s Exceptional Properties).
On the outside, it looks like the original 1930’s Tudor; on the inside, everything has been updated, including a new Kitchen that opens to the Family Room; all new windows; and a first-floor Owner’s Suite with private Bath.
In back, the home has a heated 2.5 car garage with an unfinished loft above — perfect for a home office or studio.
