Hint:  It’s Not Jewelry

What qualifies as a Realtor status symbol today?  (that is, besides stellar sales statistics — lots of s’s, I know).

Forget about a private wash room:  not even Edina Realty President and CEO Bob Peltier has that.

It’s not an office with a view, at least at Edina Realty City Lakes — everyone’s got the same (ground) level view (it’s a one-story building).

It’s not even a private office — in a business famous for (at best) erratic office hours, most agents these days double up.

So, what’s left?

Having your own, private printer.

Not only does that save a walk down the hall, it vaults you out of the queue of agents waiting in front of the “communal” printers.

P.S.:  And no, I don’t see many Rolodex watches or other “bling,” at least in the Upper Midwest.

Here, such conspicuous consumption would (still) be considered bad taste.
