Shouldn’t That Be “NoMi?”

Looking for a good neighborhood?

First find . . . . a good neighborhood association.

NOMI (North Minneapolis, truncated) is attracting attention from Realtors, for its well-organized home tours, as well as from Lavender magazine, which noted the neighborhood’s “growing reputation as a GLBT-friendly sector.”

From a housing perspective, the highlight would certainly be Victory Memorial Drive (pictured above), with its broad, tree-lined boulevards and nearby bungalows, Tudors, and Craftsmen-style homes.

Make that affordable bungalows, Tudors, and Craftsmen-style homes.

P.S.: “TriBeCa” is short for “triangle below canal (st.)”; “Dumbo” stands for “down under the Manhattan bridge overpass”; “SoHo” for “south of Houston.”
