View of home (hidden by foliage) in October.

Smart Landscaping, or, “What a Difference Two Months Make!”

The “it” in question would be the home ” make that homes ” at 2545 Huntington in St. Louis Park’s Fern Hill neighborhood, sitting at the northeast corner of Huntington and 26th St.

In the top photo, the row of deciduous trees (vs. evergreen) provide a visual treat in the fall — and helps shield the home from summer heat.

In the winter — anytime after early November in the Twin Cities — the now-bare trees let the sunshine in (lower photo).

Smart . . .

P.S.: for privacy, the home’s Kitchen and main living quarters are on the upper level. Of course, the stunning view of the downtown Minneapolis skyline and adjacent Cedar Lake from the rear of the home are better from the upper level as well 🙂.

Same view in late December.
